Franklin L. Matthews

Franklin L. "Frank" Matthews is a lifelong resident of Morgantown, WV.  He graduated from Morgantown High School in 1970. After graduation he attended Fairmont State College. In 1975 he graduated from the Cincinnati College of Mortuary Science where he received the Proficiency in Applied Embalming Award. While at CCMS, he attended the University of Cincinnati studying  religion. Frank purchased Dering's Funeral Home in 1984 from the Dering  Family. He is active in the Morgantown Kiwanis, West Virginia Funeral Directors Association, National Funeral Directors Association, Morgantown Area Chamber of Commerce, Main St. Morgantown, Monongalia Lodge # 10 IOOF and a lifelong member of the Madigan Avenue Church of Christ.

Frank has two daughters, Elizabeth and Allison and live in the South Park area of Morgantown.

Thomas W. Henson

Thomas W. "Tom" Henson is a native of South Charleston, WV, and graduated from South Charleston High School in 1985. He attended West Virginia University where he received a Bachelor of Arts degree.  Tom joined Dering's Funeral Home in 1993. In 1995 he graduated from the Pittsburgh Institute of Mortuary Science. He is a member of the West Virginia Funeral Directors Association, National Funeral Directors Association, Kappa Sigma Fraternity (WVU), and the West Virginia Alumni Association. He is a licensed funeral director, embalmer, and prearrangement counselor.

Tom and his wife Lisa live in the Cheat Lake area of Morgantown with their two children, Morgan and Tanner. They attend St. Mary's Roman Catholic Church.

Peggy R. Bonner

Peggy R. Bonner has been associated with  Dering's Funeral Home since March, 1995 and currently serves as the office  manager.

She graduated from University High School and  studied at Morgantown Business College.    

Peggy is a life member of the  Auxiliary  of Monongalia General Hospital where she serves on the board.  She is also chairman of the Remembrance Fund.  For the past 38 years, Peggy has been a member of the Highland Park  United Methodist Church where she has served as the financial secretary and chairman of Finance.  She is also an active member of the pastor - parish committee  and the Ladies of Highland  Park.
